Les
Houches
Les Houches is a small village close to Chamonix, at the bottom
of the Mont Blanc in the French Alps. Several ski resorts are nearby: les Houches,
Aiguille du midi, Brévent, les grands montets. Further informations can be

Lodging and place of the conference
The conference will take place at the Physics School, which has a conference room equipped with
a video-projector and a slide-projector. The number of people will be limited
to 70, due to the small size of the centre.
Participants will be sleeping in the rooms of the
Physics School, which are single rooms with a desk. Registration fees are equal
to 375 Euros and include full-board lodging for 5 nights from Sunday night to
Friday afternoon. The workshop will start on Monday, February 4th at
8:30am.
Registration fees (375 Euros) will have to be paid on site by cash or
credit card (no American Express card). French attendees have also the
possibility to pay using a "bon de commande"

Transport

By plane :
There are 2 international airports nearby: Geneva (88km), Lyon (220km) and the
local Haute-Savoie/Mont-Blanc airport (90km). Private shuttles can be booked (~40Euros)
and take you directly to the CNRS center (except for Alpybus company). Alternatively, local SAT
buses operate 3 to 6 times per day from Geneva airport to Les Houches and one should then take a taxi to the center (~5km).
By train
:
The train arrives directly at les Houches with a
change at Saint Gervais (France) or Martigny (Switzerland). There are 10 trains per day from St
Gervais (schedule,
20mn trip). One should then take a taxi to the center

By road
:
Les Houches is 8 km before Chamonix from Geneva and
