The island is located on the french riviera, close to the city of Hyères, and has a large number of nice sandy beaches. Cars are not allowed on the island, but bicycles can be rented easily. Further informations can be found on :

The conference will take place at the IGESA centre, which has a conference room equipped with a video-projector and a slide projector. The number of people will be limited to 60, due to the small size of the centre.

Participants will be sleeping in the rooms of the IGESA centre, which have double beds and a small desk. Registration fees include full-board lodging for 6 nights. Due to a limited number of rooms, participants will probably have to share the rooms.

The comfort of the centre is limited, but there are only a few (expensive) hotels on the island. These hotels are available for accompanying persons or for a longer stay on the island : Hotel Les Mèdes, Auberge des Glycines, and Mas du Langoustier (1h walk from the centre).

 

 

By plane :
The easiest way is to take a 1h30 flight from Paris Orly to local airport : Toulon / Hyères.
There are 6 daily flights departing at 7:30, 8:55, 13:30, 16:05, 19:05, 21:10 from Paris to Toulon, and 4 daily flights departing at 11:00, 15:35, 18:10, 21:15 from Toulon to Paris.
Note that it takes one hour in Paris to change from Charles de Gaulle airport to Orly airport.
Then, from the Toulon airport, take a bus (bus 102 to Hyeres bus station + bus 67) or a taxi (10 Euros) to La Tour Fondue (10 minutes drive).

Another way is to go to Marseille airport and then take a 25min bus to Marseille train station (every 20min), then a 1h train from Marseille to Toulon (every hour), and then a taxi (50 Euros) from Toulon train station to La Tour Fondue.

By train  :
The closest train station is Hyères. From the train station, take the bus 67 (time table) to La Tour Fondue.
You may also go to Toulon train station and take a taxi (50 Euros) to La Tour Fondue.

By car  :
Exit the motorway at Hyères, then follow the signs Les Iles d Or ,  Porquerolles , La Tour Fondue

Then...
Once you have reached La Tour Fondue, regular boats cross over to the Island. (20 minute trip, last boat: 18h00, time table)

IGESA centre is in the village, 5 minute walk from the harbour near
la plage de la courtade.
